The biggest event involving the Icelandic horse in the world is the biannual National Horse Show of Iceland. This is a unique and unforgettable event where visitors will see all the best horses in Iceland, in different types of competition.
This event is called “Landsmot” in Iceland and will be held at Vindheimamelar in Skagafjordur, North Iceland, June 26th – July 2nd 2006. Each Landsmot draws an international crowd as well as large crowds of Icelandic horse enthusiasts. The most influential breeders, the best riders and those who simply love to watch beautiful horses will be gathered at Vindheimamelar this one weekend in July.
