The Westfjords of Iceland

The Westfjords are sometimes called Iceland’s best hidden secret. There you can experience a unique solitude and oneness with nature as well as social and cultural events in the many tiny villages along the coast.

The Westfjords are Iceland’s most sparsely populated area offering the tourist scenery like no other, the Hornstrandir Nature Reserve, the westernmost point of Europe – Látrabjarg and one of Iceland's most beautiful waterfalls, Dynjandi. The Hornstrandir region is only accessible by boat and is a paradise for hikers wanting to rough it. Do not try to do the Westfjords in a day!
